It generates an evaporative cooling effect that lowers the surrounding temperature and mitigates the urban \u201cheat island\u201d effect. <\/p>\n<p>The module consists of plastic soakaway crates encapsulated in a sealing membrane forming a reservoir that buffers heavy rainfall and supplies rainwater to plants during dry spells. The soil substrate acts as a filtration layer and supports plant health. With 17 flowering plants it brings splashes of natural colour to urban environments and increases biodiversity. An overflow prevents waterlogging, and a geotextile separates the growth substrate from the water reservoir.   <\/p>\n<p>ARIS CiTYCOOL is optimised for low maintenance and supports the weight of lawn mowing equipment.
