The intelligent control of the ARIS SMART COLLECT is an innovative approach to managing combined rainwater harvesting and stormwater attenuation systems. The system is connected to national\/regional weather forecast satellite\/internet feeds. While no rain is forecast, the water in the tank is stored for non-potable water use. If rain is forecast, the system checks if there is sufficient space in the storage tank to accommodate the expected incoming quantity of rain. If not, the volume is drained ahead of the rain\/storm event as necessary (including customizable safety factors). This enables drainage of excess water ahead of heavy rainstorms, while the sewer\/storm drain systems are still empty and have capacity.
