ARIS BiOS

The biofilter achieves efficient, biological pre-treatment and inlet calming for rainwater. It is uniquely suited for retrofit in existing rainwater cisterns and extremely low maintenance.

 

Description

ARIS BiOS provides a way to pre-clean rainwater, combining inlet calming and biofiltration. The system utilizes the same biological self-cleaning process that naturally occurs in rivers and lakes, and is therefore suitable for all rainwater harvesting, stormwater attenuation and soak-away systems. Incoming water is slowed down and calmed to prevent turbulence and sediment re-mobilisation.
Due to its construction, the ARIS BiOS filter achieves 100% rainwater yield and a very high efficacy rate. Retained sediment is biologically mineralized. The integrated growth substrate maximises surface level harbouring aerobic microorganisms that help break down incoming organic matter.
The “end-of-pipe” arrangement allows for retrofitting the filter in existing storage volumes. ARIS BiOS is extremely low maintenance, because the natural mineralization achieves a self-cleaning effect of the filter.
